What evidence did they have against this guy? He was from the area where the postmark was from. Check. His initials are KC. Check. He had previously written the Senator. Check. That’s enough for six days in jail??? ---

The main thing was that the letters were signed “I’m KC and I approved this message,” the same as some of his online posts. He also had a personal connection to Wicker (he’d performed for him). Even the guy’s lawyer admits it made sense to arrest him, and they released him once the evidence pointed somewhere else. What else are they supposed to do? ---

The weird thing is, I thought about this dude “what if someone just pulled quotes from him to make it look like he did it”, then I discarded that thought because, when has that ever happened? But I do get points for at least considering the possibility. ---

Apparently, the cops are searching the houses of anyone who might have a reason to hate Elvis, which is how this Dutschke guy got dragged into this. I think the FBI is grasping at straws at this point. If the Ricin guy was smart enough to find a scapegoat, you’d think he’d be smart enough to find one with no obvious connection to himself. ---
