Treason CAN be a capital offense, but it doesn’t have to be. A prosecutor is not obligated to seek the death penalty during sentencing, just like they are not obligated to seek the death penalty for murder. There are lots of people in jail for murder–a capital crime–and they do not face execution. Here’s the pathetic logic of the OP: 1. Ann Coulter is a dishonest lying whore. 2. Some people believe Ann Coulter’s lies. 3. Those lies should be countered. 4. Therefore, liberals should be dishonest lying whores too…just to make it even. Thanks for aspiring to be as dishonest, baseless, and incoherent as Ann Coulter, SimonX. You should be so fucking proud of yourself. “Ann Coulter sucks! What the hell is a fan of Ann Coulter? I like watching the police car chases on TV also. Live volcano footage? Bring it on. If I don’t have a visceral hatred of her strong enough for someone, I really don’t care. I’ve never bought one of her books. I will read her internet column and the responses by readers. She’s a rhetorical Tasmanian devil on crank. Let her have at it with Joe Conason or Michael Moore for 12 rounds and pay-per-view it. ---

He attacked the sovereignty of of another nation without any of the justifications enumerated by the UN Charter and he has refused to honor the Geneva Convention as it pertains to POWs in Guantanamo Bay. He is a war criminal, QED, even though he will never be prosecuted for it. ---
