I’ve never been a church-goer, but for some reason back in the mid-90s my grandmother insisted on taking me to see a Christian rock concert at her church. There was even a pretty big Christian rap group (and there have been many others since, though not many too popular in the mainstream) over 30 years ago that I believe morphed into a sort of alternative rock group. Also had a few friends who were fans of that stuff way back then and have seen several late night tv ads for compilation CDs going back at least 20 years. I have no idea what they play now, as I don’t do church or most new musical artists. ---

Stryper’s singer, Michael Sweet, has toured with Boston a few times in the years following Bradley Delp’s death. He’s one of only a handful of men who can hit some of those notes.
