# They're naming their baby Osama bin Laden?

I don’t know if I’d forbid them to name their child that, like the German court did, but that poor little kid is going to have a strange life ahead of him unless he moves to the Middle East. And even, then, it’s still strange–are they changing his last name to bin Laden, or is he going to be Osama bin Laden Abdul (or whatever)?
So what do you guys think?

I think they’re crackpots, but it’s their kid. I think it’s cruel to name your child Aquanetta or Nimrod, but I’ve known both, and they seemed happy otherwise…who am I to tell people what to name their children?

I think idiots that unfortunately already reproduced need to be stopped when their actions are ensuring that their child is going to live a hellish life from day one.

Let us put this in perspective here. The real O.B.L. (U.B.L.?) scumbag as he is, has openly declared war (at least hostility) towards us on several occations (news interviews, multiple attacks during the 90’s) we were just too arrogant to do anything about it. As such many misguided people around the world support his cause. Remember some people celebrated the attack that took down the towers and hit the Pentagon.

When I read about this in the newspaper this morning, I had to wonder what kind of people would do such a horrible thing to their child? Nut cases is all I could come up with.

In America, I doubt this could happen because of our legal system. But since it’s Germany, I suspect it will be upheld. They do have quite a lot fo restrictive laws regarding violent media and hate speech.
