I believe MNEMENTH is a 237 year old dragon, living in a cave furnished wil modern ameneties. He reclines in his Barcalounger, smoking a long-stemmed pipe and drinking a goblet of wine, watching Masterpiece Theater between posts on the SDMB. I believe ANTHRACITE is a Goth Ninja Assasin, working part time for the CIA and NSC. But she has the goods on many powerful individuals who operate above the law and is waiting for her chance to spring on the day “When all things hidden…shall be revealed.” I believe CHRONOS is an undercover Time Lord, sent from Gallifrey, to observe the human species during our culture’s transitional period from planetary to interstellar civilization. I believe JARBABYJ is a refugee from a carnival side show, rescued by a kindly soul with a penchant for a good snake-dance. I believe WIERDDAVE is an Angel…his purity is misunderstood and rejected by us sinners. I believe SPEAKER FOR THE DEAD is a High Priest of Voodoo, and takes his chicken blood VERY seriously, ya dig? I believe I will learn how to purr back at him. [sub]\[/sub] \*quickly looking around to see if **Mr Bear** heard that. I believe that **Vestal Blue** is really a great big teddy bear, with his own special suit of armour and sword to defend his loved ones and damsels in distress. \ I know, I know, not fair since I’ve known him for years. He has _oh,my! gorgeous_ eyes and gives great hugs too! I believe that hidden inside his big **Ogre** suit is a tall, handsome man dressed in a nappy suit and shiny spats, with drop-dead gorgeous eyes who writes amazing poetry under a pseudonym. I believe I’d love to be **Ramoth** to **Mnementh** , and fly far and high with him on golden, translucent wings… **swoon** _ **IF** _ he could catch me, that is. 😉 I believe there are more, but I’ll save those for later. Too many good ones to do this late. ---

He has the tweedy affectations of an elderly English gentleman but the roguish roughness of an East End lad. **casdave** is also short. Sometimes he types upsidedown. He spends all day reading all the newspapers to remain up to date on all (British) news. **Gary Kumquat** is an enormous vegetable. His real name is Mabel. Sometimes he is purple, other times green. **TwistOfFate** I now have an image of with an evil goatee, thanks to the fact that he has stated his intention to grow a goatee. Definitely not _pellagra_. Polgara the Sorceress is one of the main characters in the _Belgariad_ fantasy series by [David Eddings](http://www.randomhouse.com/delrey/promo/polgara/). She is tall, beautiful, raven haired with a lock of white. An immortal lady of grace, strong of will and deep of heart. She has the ability to shape-shift and her preferred form is that of a [snowy owl](http://www.cws-scf.ec.gc.ca/hww-fap/owl/owl.html). I don’t know your reading preferences, but I highly recommend the series. It is light and fast paced, with cleverly-drawn characterizations. Not pure fantasy, more the sword-and-sorcery kind. ---

I believe that **Mangetout** actually does eat everything-- but only if it’s been through a juicer and covered with ketchup. I believe **mangeorge** has only eaten barley in his beer. I believe **celestina** will understand these horrid puns after checking her French-English dictionary for ten minutes. I believe that given the choice between riding a Harley and a tricycle, **Johnny L.A.** would break down and cry. ---
