Apparently '50’s style monsters gave off an aura that made it impossible to run fast.

When all else fails send in Godzilla.

If the parasite living in your spinal cord tingles, screaming will prevent it from growing to a monstrous size and killing you. Also, don’t surgically remove a corpse’s Tingler. Nothing good can come of it.

Further to my observations about Tinglers, a free-ranging Tingler will shrink from the screams of a roomful of people. This raises the question of whether the screams of a companion will neutralize a Tingler which is active in an individual incapable of screaming for themselves.

If you liked _It Came from Hollywood_, try to dig up copy of _Zacherly’s Horrible Horror_, a similar collection of Bad Monster Movie Moments hosted by horror host John Zacherle, who died a year ago this month. I understand there’s an expanded version on DVD

> **[Horrible Horror (Video 1986) ⭐ 7.2 | Comedy, Drama, Fantasy](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0134729/)**
>
> 1h 50m | Not Rated

Not only does this feature scenes from Bad Movies, it includes outtakes from _Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein_ and _Killers from Space_, TV and movie interviews, trailers, and the like. It also includes this gem (excerpted from Horrible Horror – you can see Zacherley cut in there) from a promo for the movie _Dracula A.D. 1972_:

Helicopters are incapable of maneuvering out of range of giant apes throwing trees (Kong: Skull Island).
Lawnmowers make excellent weapons against zombies (Dead Alive / Braindead).

Not to mention that classic 1976 Korean film **APE** , in which he finishes by giving the crashed helicopter the finger:

An international co-production between South Korea and the United States, the film was produced by Kukje Movies and the Lee Ming Film Co. Directed by Paul Leder and featuring special effects by Park Kwang Nam, the film stars Joanna Kerns, Rod Arrants and Alex...

As I recall, it is crudely animated - and no monster mom - but lots o’ wit and philosophizin’ make it very clear who the real monsters are.
