# Things I missed from England

I love England’s cold crispness. It doesn’t get cold enough here in Australia for me to wear my leather jacket _nearly_ often enough!

I miss my relatives, who live there.

I miss all of the beautiful old buildings, and the history. (In Oz a building is old if it is 100yo!)

I miss having a train station every hundred metres. (London)

I miss the gorgeous green parks.

I miss the accents.

I miss looking out the window and seeing squirrels playing. (Yes, I know they’re a pest!)

I miss English pubs.

I miss open fires.

I miss the great shopping. (I guess just different clothes from back home.)

I miss the beautiful green countryside.

I DON’T miss the exchange rate and the resulting expense of everything!!

I also DON’T miss the beaches. I have decided England is sadly lacking in nice beaches, although I think we are spoilt in Oz. 🙂
