Comb overs. Heavy cologne. Overly ‘built’ physique - fitness and muscle are great - if you can no longer walk with your arms hanging down, you’ve gone too far. Dick shots. Bragging about your income - I don’t think I’ve seen this one mentioned yet (or 10 times and I’m asleep at the switch today) - having a job and financial security = good. Talking about it incessantly like it’s the only thing you have going for you? Not so good. ---

Offering to send pictures of his naked body before we’ve met in person. At least 50% of the guys I’ve talked to on Okcupid have offered. How many ways can I say no? I don’t care, unless you have two penises. And, even then, my interest is strictly medical, not prurient. Some have sent them unsolicited, although I’m not entirely sure that’s so much an effort to be attractive than it is to be a creep. Either way, whatever the motivation, _stop it._ I also find any kind of spin an enormous turnoff. “Yeah, I’m sure you’re living with your mom entirely because she needs you. I love sports cars. Probably because I’m a lead foot and spent too many months driving a 2012 camaro LTS , but also because it makes the man look fun and possibly wealthy. It’s not the only thing that matters, but it does make me notice you. I also love the smell of certain colognes. Old Spice- mmmm What does turn me off- tattoos, bragging about your wealth, steroid men (super bulky), wearing baseball caps backwards. ---

Others have said my choices, but let me say amen to the bragging. What is up with this? Do men think if they don’t point out how awesome/manly/strong/rich they are, then women lack the ability to figure it out themselves? The minute a guy has exceeded his quota of self-flattery, I start feeling a little contemptuous towards him and I desperately want to clown him. Guys who have online profile pics of them posing with their shirts off…instant turnoff no matter how built he is. ---
