I don’t give a wet slap about: Survivor Big Brother 3 (although I was well into Big Brother 2) Science fiction and fantasy novel series baseball ice hockey basketball horse racing hip places to be seen in London and Manchester (and Edinburgh and Bristol and Barcelona and Prague and Berlin). If you have to have a “hip place to be seen” or have to find out where you should be by reading style magazines, you can’t really call yourself hip. computer games, to be honest gym membership. It bores me to hear people banging on about their gym, why it’s good, why it’s not good, why they want to get into another, better one… The Strokes ---

Another vote for anything Star Trek/Star Wars. Primetime TV Guns. Never owned one, never will. Hockey, soccor, Pro basketball, women’s sports, tennis. The father of my grandchildren. He will pay for a lawyer for his current girlfriend to get her child support raised but has filed bankruptcy to get out of paying his child support. ---

Anything political that doesnt concern me or someone I care about. NBA, tennis, the Cornhuskers(you have to live in Nebraska to appreciate this) and golf Buffy (wasnt this a bad movie like 15 years ago?, didnt they turn it into a bad TV show on the WB a few years after? whats the big freaking deal?) Most music played on the radio Art films, art, “faire’s”, most anything “geeky”. The lack of tree’s, whales, spotted owl, the Iowa spotted 3 horned clawed spotted vegetarian mongoose, minorites at Yale, lawyers for terrorists or smart Democratic voters in florida. Any and all sports TV shows- ARGH! I hate it when people spend twenty minutes telling me about this great thing they saw on TV last night. Look, if I wanted to watch TV, I would. TV is not my reason for being. Cars Politics Music Big Important Social Issues, such as welfare, racial profiling, drug abuse, etc. Yes, they’re problems. Yes, they affect us all. But I do not feel like getting involved in some “Crossfire”-style debate at 9 in the morning. Fashion Food- I could give a shit less about your 100-year-old balsamic vinegar. Really. The Rich- again, I should give a fuck that some trust-fund baby out in California owns 16 limited-edition super-duper cars with grappling hooks and helipads on the roof? Celebrities- you know, there was a time when professional entertainers were considered a small step up from streetwalkers. What the hell happened? I don’t watch the Superbowl, and I even try to see how long I can go each year before accidentally finding out who’s playing. Basketball doesn’t appeal to me, either. Baseball and hockey I can handle (I even like to watch it live once in awhile, but not on TV).[/li][li] **Politics:** Quite frankly, I don’t really understand this topic enough to make any intelligent remarks about it. I’m not really much of a Democrat or a Republican, and most tests I have taken to determine where my political views lie put me in the middle.[/li][li] **Religion:** I have my beliefs, but I’m not about to go out of my way to defend my beliefs or to hold debates with people with opposing views.[/li][li] **Prime-time TV** : I especially don’t care about shows that become very popular. I can’t say I ever watched a single episode of _Seinfeld, Friends, Cheers, E.R., NYPD Blue, Beverly Hills 90210,_ etc.[/li][li] **Wrestling** : I don’t even count this as a sport, at least what the WWF has made of it. I just don’t see the appeal in watching a bunch of big, steroid-laden guys making complete asses of themselves.[/li][li] **Brittany Spears** : "Nuff said. (I probably misspelled her name, but, as the thread title indicates, I don’t care if I did)[/li][li] **Boy bands** : Again, 'nuff said.[/li][li] **Awards and awards shows** : I enjoy movies and music as much as the next person, but I don’t lose sleep over a favorite movie or band not getting such recognition.[/li][li] **Celebrities** : I have more important things to keep up on than who’s marrying whom, who’s acting career is on the skids, etc. I never choose a movie on the basis of it having a particular actor or actress in it.[/li][li] **Soap operas** : My sister was obsessed with her soaps and would go out of her way to make sure she never missed them. I never understood this.[/li][li] **Any controversy regarding Microsoft** : Maybe Microsoft has engaged in some monopolistic or unfair business practices, and perhaps Microsoft could design their products better, and yes, Bill Gates is obscenely rich, but I don’t get worked up about any of these things.[/li][li] **Fashion** : I wear my clothes until they are too worn out. I do not replace what’s in my closet just because it’s not in style anymore. I have yet to set foot inside an Old Navy store.[/li][li] **The Miss America Pageant** : The whole show is too, well, showy and I don’t get into the “glamour” aspects of it. I actually like women who have some fat on them, wear plain jeans and shirts, and don’t put make-up on or do their hair up, so because of this I don’t really find the women on Miss America to be all that attractive.[/li][li] **Beer** : I don’t touch the stuff, not for religious reasons, I just don’t care to experience what it’s like to be drunk, and I intend to leave this earth without ever knowing what having a hangover is like. I suppose alcohol in general might as well go into this entry.[/li][/ul] I think that’s enough of them for now. ---

How computers work: Well, I’m glad \someone\ knows how they work, but I couldn’t care less. Mr. Del is always trying to show me some thing or another in PC magazine, and then engage me a conversation about whether or not we should have it, and I completely zone out. He could say “dear, do you think we should install a bucket of monkey pus in our system?” and I would say “whatever you think best, darling” without blinking. Shopping: I don’t mind shopping, but it boggles my mind how people can talk about it. People who recount each store they went to, and every item they saw, but didn’t purchase. If you haven’t purchased, or plan to purxhase in the near future, why are we talking about it? Famous people getting married/divorced to/from other famous people. This is interesting how? ---
