Lots of people claim to like nuts, which is odd because it’s basically eating wood. ---

I can see where you might make that assertion about celery or asparagus, but not nuts. There’s a wonderful demonstration garden nearby that teaches you to build a delicious burrito using each of the components of plants: roots, stems, leaves, flowers/fruit, and bark. ---
