# Things that can't go in the garbage disposal

I’ve clogged a garbage disposal twice.

Case #1: Shot glass  
Case #2: Shot glass  
:smack:

The thick glass shattered and the little bits jammed it. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything organic jam it, and it’s even eaten through bottle caps and a sponge.

I’m kind of disapointed in you **Winston**. A man of you flair and this is all you got ? I was expecting a long list full of things I could never imagine putting in my disposal. Well, the informants sounds like you 😃

If it is not made of metal and it fits in the hole, disposal it is.

I don’t know if this counts. I once lost one of the little plastic cups that Crystal Lite comes in. For weeks, when I’d run the disposal, it would make a strange sound, but I’d peek and everything would be gone.  
One day, I stuck my hand into the black hole and came up with the little plastic cup, completely undamaged! It must have just floated above the mess each time.
