IIRC, that was the final episode.
I’ve got a similar system. Sure, Comcast offers me voice mail, but theirs is a pain and I don’t like it. So I use the digital answering system on my cordless phone instead, and like it much better - it’s got a blinking light that tells me when I have a message! With the Comcast system, I’ve gotta pick up the phone to hear the weird beeping dial tone that’s supposed to be my alert, and I don’t call people much. It could be weeks! Anyway, I don’t use the voicemail.
Plus cell phones got ridiculously cheap. In the 90’s, you were still charged by the minute. As little as a year ago, someone apologized for using up my minutes. I used a pager up until 1999 or so, and the monthly bill was about the same as ~2000 cell phone plan.
