It occurs to me that what I intended as a funny remark could be taken badly. If I have given offense, I sincerely apologize. It’s a hell of a thing when standing by one’s traditional allies can sink a British PM’s political career. For this, I blame Bush, since I don’t know much about Blair. But durned if I don’t think he did a right proper job of buggerin’ Blair up one wall and down the other… ---
