Actually, toasters HAVE changed a little. Not in fifty years or so, is all. Models from the '20s and '30s (and possibly later, I’m not a toasterologist 😉 ) have a heating element inside a narrow vertical thingamajiggy, and fold-down sides that hold the bread. You had to switch the bread around to toast both sides, I think. Earth’s rotational speed (sure it’s changed _some_, but not _much_. At least, not in my lifetime) Carbon Dioxide, to me, has always been a gas my inability to think of three things in a row [hijack] **Forbin** , you and I know way too much about Materials Fastening Systems. You should see the looks on peoples faces when my partner and I talk shop in front of them. It’s how I look to the computer store tech guy as he plainly walks me through the simple fix I asked for.
