I lived in Mississippi for one very long year. There are parts where, driving through, I would have had no idea what year it was if I was left to verify the dates based simply on what I could see around me (not counting my car, of course). ---

I have often marvelled at how cars are basically the same shape as they always have been. In the sense that: Four wheels, one in each corner. Driver at the front and to the side, with a passenger seat beside. Engine at the front, storage at the back. Pedals. Windscreen. Mirrors. Horn. Handbrake. In essence, despite incredible change and improvements in efficiency and aerodynamics, the basic format is unchanged over 100 or more years. ---

little kids still prefer to play in the big box their toys came in rather than to play with the expensive toys. Priceless. Damn straight. I just bought a big box at Xmas and skipped the toy 🙂 ---
