They where not trying to sell anything, just get money for a school trip. I donno. There was a parent nearby. It’s some sort of a trip they where going on. But, they said to my wife it was a ‘Mission to a reservation’. So I’ve not a clue. My wife gave them twenty bucks. We are not religious at all but all travel is good for kids. See what’s out there, and make up your own minds is my opinion. Perhaps Native Americans will change their minds about what religion is. Who knows. Edie Brickell nailed it. OK, I get you. I just thought that the travel might be good and the white kids could learn something from native americans. Harasment is right out. I was not in on the discussion. I mostly assumed, second hand, that it was some sort of missionary movement. I deplore that. My Wife just left for a meeting. 100 women from [our town] that makes a difference. $100 a quarter, each. Then they vote on what organization to give it all too. That’s a chunck of change. The rules are simple. Nothing political or religious. Meals on Wheels would be OK. Homeless shelters. Dumb friends league. That sort of stuff. ---

My wife had some minor surgery a couple weeks ago, and I had to use the restroom there a couple times while I was waiting. (Too much coffee!) They had those motion detector towel dispensers in the restrooms, and they were set to only dispense about four inches of towel. Barely enough to get a grip on to tear off, but waving your hand in front of the sensor to get it to roll out more towel was futile. So, wave hand, dispense four inches of paper towel, tear it off, wave hand again, etc about four times until you had enough paper towel to dry your hands off. Very annoying. On the other hand, I’d rather have that than the folded paper towel dispenser that’s packed so tight you can’t get just one or two towels out and wind up pulling out a three inch thick stack. ---

The employee packs too many towels into the dispenser, under the misguided assumption that they won’t have to fill it as often. Packing them too tightly has the opposite effect. Back when I ran a restaurant, this was a constant battle with my employees. ---

No, if you want to sell something- dont come to my door at all. I aint buying. Period. (many are scams anyway) Not even for Girl Scout Cookies (we get ours from a table outside the local Ralphs). ---
