There’s a gentleman running for AZ State Treasurer named Doug Ducey. The other night my boyfriend and I drove by one of his signs and I said, “Hehe, ducey.” This wasn’t that funny on its own, but then I concocted this idea that I was going to incorporate his name as a euphemism for feces. So I try to tell my boyfriend that the next time he’s in the bathroom for awhile, I will be asking ask him “Hey honey, did you drop Doug Ducey off at the pool?” Only I cannot tell him. I cannot tell him because every time I get to “Hey honey…” I begin laughing so hard that I am crying and cannot catch my breath. This went on for the rest of our drive home and I finally had to text him with my plan because I just couldn’t get all of the words out without collapsing in a fit of laughter. So I text him from the other room and then run into the living room so we can share the gut-wrenching laugh together. Only, he’s not laughing. He checked his text and then looked at me like I was from outer space. Apparently, it wasn’t as funny as I thought it was. ---
