Okay, there’s one that make me feel kinda old. Remembering when boner pills were a new thing and be shilled during primetime television by a presidential candidate.
I feel old when I get up off the couch and can’t stand up straight and have to shuffle along hunched over because my back has gone out. Again.
Realising whilst engaging in a discussion on a soccer message board that it was over half a century since I attended my first match. Realising now that that realisation was 5 years ago.
I remember watching Winston Churchill’s funeral on TV.
I can’t have my back surgery until I know whether I’ll need another heart surgery. Then I can start thinking about my knee replacements. The hernia surgery , achilles tendon surgery and the next dental implant will just have to wait.

Only last week did I seriously begin to feel old. I can’t get rid of Trump in my Facebook suggested pages. I tried blocking the pages, clicking off of them, reporting them, even “liking” liberal pages – even though I don’t want to see more liberal stuff in my feed, I just don’t want to see Trump’s face ever again! None of it is working and I am considering not using Facebook because of it. I don’t know what I did to deserve to be lumped in his demographic.
Previously everything else that happened was more like “haha, stuff I like happened a long time ago” but I seriously do not like this.
When the local radio DJ says he is going to play an “oldie” or a “throwback” and proceeds to play a song that was released when I was already out of college.
I was 26 when I went to college. On the first day of class this guy walks into the room and I thought “Oooh, that guy is cute, I hope he sits next to me.”
Discussing the topic of old movies with my daughter. When I think of old movies I think of movies that starred John Wayne or Elvis Presley. When she thinks of old movies it’s movies like Ghostbusters or Weekend at Bernie’s, the movies I grew up with.
