I think we can all agree that a thread is a failure if it lacks at least two gibes or wry comments that contribute nothing to the topic but at least give us a chance to laugh or groan at someone’s inappropriate silliness. ---

Agree? Us? Not on political or religious topics. Maybe on… well, declawing’s the only one I can think of. Although there’s probably a poster declawing his unvaccinated giraffe as I type this… Every time someone accuses this board of being a “hive mind” or “in lockstep”, I think back to a number of threads where there were opinions and long-held beliefs that were all over the place. (By the way, most of the “hive mind” accusers are uncomfortable with people having independent views that aren’t part of _their_ hive…) ---

Of course many of them are also trolls, so YMMV. ---
