I know I have two, but I can only remember one at the moment. When eating pretzels I always eat the broken pieces first, even to the point of digging around in the bottom to try to find some more. It’s somehow very fulfilling to look into a container with only whole pretzels in it. ---

The lid on the toilet seat is always down when flushing and it to remain down when not in use. If I find this has been violated in the master bath where I keep my toothbrush, the head of my electric toothbrush is either replaced or given a good soaking in Listerine before it is used again. I also wash the handle of the toothbrush with anti bacterial soap. This started after an episode of Mythbusters about germs found in most bathrooms. ---

Organizing the video collection on my hard drives. _Every_ video must be in the right folder: A tough job with thousands and tens of TBs of videos. _SIGH_ If there’s more than one work by a director or actress, they go into a director or actress folder. If there’s only a single work, it goes by video type, MKV, DVD Movie, extras (Making of, Behind the Scenes, Interviews). TV show (Variety, Music, Reality, Series, Specials…) Every time I get a new video, I have to search to see which folder it will go into. Then, because backups are a must, once I’ve organized the videos on one set of drives, I have to make two copies of them, one backup is nearly the same as having none. Backup twice people. Ideally with the second set away from home in case something happens (fire, flood, hurricane/tornado, power surge, theft, etc. happens at home!!! \* Double Sigh\* ---

It is my opinion that containers are chosen without the slightest regard to waste because any waste just increases the amount sold by that much more. Well, I show them! The only area where I currently admit defeat is jam jars, although I am considering buying a mini silicone scraper to get those last tiny bits of jam out. ---

I cut the top off body lotion bottles and thin down shampoos and laundry detergent to make sure I am getting all the contents I paid for dammit. Every time I make the grocery list, I transfer my husband’s list items to a fresh sheet of paper so that the handwriting on the final list is neat and consistent. ---

I have a cell phone too, but I only use it on days when I go into the office (currently twice per week). Getting back to the OP, one thing I really OCD about is scrabble letters. Mrs. Geek has a habit of often placing the I and O letters upside down. I have to rotate them back to their proper orientation before I can continue the game. ---

Our culture has gone a little crazy with co-opting therapeutic language, but I’m not sure how much it matters. For one thing, it points to a broadening acceptance of mental illness in our culture. But I’m still irked when people throw around PTSD or call every negative experience a trauma. So I guess I’m on the fence. ---
