Why yes I have and now you can too because they are freely available.

[The man who turned into a tree haunted me for years](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DStwXsmZ3OE). It is just a very short nonfiction documentary so you can see it for yourself.

For fiction, I nominate [Sundays Game](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RW1Yil7ZRk). It is just an 8 minute little independent film that contains some of the most realistic acting I have ever seen. It is just about a cute weekend get together of some of the dearest little old ladies friends that you will ever see. Check it out.

I saw a video of an artist vomiting paint onto a canvas, accompanied by the beautiful “Flower Duet” by Delibes. It was more disgusting than I thought it would be.
That music still sometimes reminds me of the video.

The usual stuff – war photos, surgery footage, and so on. My biggest weakness is eye violence. Even a tame scene like the Kill Bill eye snatch makes me wince and turn my head.

Entertainment wise, _Antichrist_ was a surprise. I heard it was fucked up, but for the most part it was a low key horror drama. There’s a scene where the dude’s crazy girlfriend is jerking him off, then she hits him in the balls with a giant piece of wood, keeps going, and he ejaculates blood. That made me grit my teeth in empathy pain, but not too bad. Then later on the crazy woman grabbed scissors and gave herself a clitoridecotmy. Snip, snip. Did I mention this film showed full nudity with no cut aways? I guess if you’re into knife play it could be pretty hot, but no. Thanks a lot, Lars von Trier.

I don’t know the name of the film, but when I was a teen I saw some Vietnam, maybe Korean war movie where the Americans are getting overrun and the planes are bombing very close to their own troops (Broken arrow event I think they called it). One guy got caught in the napalm and his buddies tried to move him. So they grab his legs, but his pants are fused to his skin, and his skin is melting and sloughing off, so the skin slides right off and they can’t grab him. UGH. Just thinking about it makes my shins tingle.

Ugh. I couldn’t even read **chorpler’s** description of the skinning video. I do not want that staying in my head.

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the lotus boob. It doesn’t matter that it’s fake and everyone knows it’s a fake. It’s the trypophobia thing. Along the same lines, there’s footage of a Surinam toad. I’m sorry I even mentioned these things now.

This, this a million times this.

I actually saw this here in a thread that was basically “link to the most disturbing video you can find”

It’s so horrifying, and you don’t even really SEE anything. Given the context it’s less gory than your average Eli Roth slasherporn movie, but still the implications of it

When I was a kid, back in the '50s, on the front page of the newspaper was an article and photo. The photo showed a baby that had been born . . . numerous heads and arms and legs, seemingly arranged randomly. I remember shrieking and running out of the house. Wish I’d never seen that.

Sounds like standard fare for the _National Enquirer_ back in those days. The NE has become more discrete in recent years, but back in the 1950s and 1960s they went for the grotesque photos of babies and such on the front page in the hopes of persuading folks to pick up their little newspaper.

If it soothes your conscience, I’m pretty sure that their images were constructions and darkroom creations\* as much as the “God’s hand seen in thunderstorm” or “Batboy” pictures later were.

> In 1953, Pope revamped the format from a broadsheet to a sensationalist tabloid focusing on sex and violence. The paper’s editorial content became so salacious that Griffin was forced by the Mayor to resign from the city’s Board of Higher Education in 1954.[6] In 1957, Pope changed the name of the newspaper to The National Enquirer and changed its scope to national stories of sex and scandal.[6] Pope worked tirelessly in the 1950s and 1960s to increase the circulation and broaden the tabloid’s appeal. In the late 1950s and through most of the 1960s, the Enquirer was known for its gory and unsettling headlines and stories such as: “I Cut Out Her Heart and Stomped on It” (Sept. 8, 1963) and “Mom Boiled Her Baby and Ate Her” (1962). At this time the paper was sold on newsstands and in drugstores only. Pope stated he got the idea for the format and these gory stories from seeing people congregate around auto accidents. By 1966, circulation had risen to one million.[6]

One of the most disturbing fanfiction pieces I’ve ever read has the same title as my username. AFAIK, it’s no longer online but you might be able to read it on the Wayback Machine, should you be so inclined.

It’s about the straight members of R.E.M., Bill, Mike, and Peter, all having sex with each other in every way you could possibly think of. Someone else described it as “unadulterated puke” and that’s an excellent summation.

A couple of things, sort of. In 1987 when I was hugely pregnant with my first child, I worked at a law firm where my boss occasionally handled personal injury cases. I had just eaten a donut and was going through a file that I was unfamiliar with. I ran across some pictures of an accident victim, horribly mutilated. It was all I could do not to lose my donut.

I don’t know if it’s still around, but I was on [Rotten.com](http://Rotten.com) once and ran across some absolutely horrifying shots, each one worse than the one before. It was a very, very long time before I could stop remembering those.

I collect old medical books, and a gynecology book I have from 1908 has a pencil drawing of the perineal area of an 8-month-old baby who had been raped. It is every bit as horrible as it sounds.

There’s a You Tube video made by the military in 1955 about the original hantavirus outbreak; it’s about 45 minutes long and has risen in “popularity” since the Ebola outbreak. It has graphic autopsy footage and also clips of victims vomiting blood, and I don’t think those were re-enactments. I personally did not find it disturbing, but others might. What WAS disturbing to me was that most of the fatalities were from kidney failure, which at the time was untreatable.

Poor, poor Jacqueline Saburido. She’s been like that since 1999. She was 20 or so when it happened. I think about her all the time. Her friends in the front seats were killed. The drunk driver did eight years in jail.
