If you’re looking for a very well-made cocktail, you can walk to the Libertine or The Ball & Biscuit (I prefer the B&B, better atmosphere, better drinks, better prices). Libertine is two blocks east on Washington, Ball & Biscuit is on Mass Ave. ---

If you like American History, then head over to the Eiteljorg museum. Other than that, I can’t recommend much about Indianapolis. ---

Yup… other than world class museums, professional sports teams, one of the safest downtown areas in the states, nationally recognized restaurants, hotels at the absolute top end (like the JW or the Conrad), the most attended sporting event on the planet, affordable living costs, and world class sit in a lawn chair and watch the parking lot like usedtobe mentioned… we got nothin’. Oh, I did have a pretty good meal by a young chef named Wolfgang Puck back in the '70’s at the Eagle’s Nest. ---

Actually… I just realized you are coming in tomorrow. We are supposed to get between 6-9 inches of snow and are under a blizzard warning… so you may be spending a lot of time sitting in your hotel room with a lot of things closed. ---

Well, at least you have snow to add to that list of nothing. You may have put together a rather smug list of features, but Indy has nothing over other major cities. Really no character, just a sterile atmosphere. Safe downtown, but tons of panhandlers. Why do you think they call this state the ‘crossroads of America’? Because everyone passes through here, but no one stays. ---
