Whoa **Bobbio** , seems to me that novelty is not something you actually look for in firefighting. Glad you’re home again and safe. Was the fried broccoli maybe stir-fried? Cuz that’s the only version of fried broccoli I can imagine would be OK. I’m very happy to work in a reasonably quiet corner. The one person in my department who used to have loud personal conversations left us some time ago, not sadly. Do you need us to attest to the fact that you’re not an axe murderer, **doggio**? One of the stir fry mixes I used to buy in Scotland had broccoli, and I do like it stir fried. I now buy frozen veggies (individual veggies, not prepared-meal bags) and stir-fry or scare-boil them. Definitely much better than overboiled, which is how the cafeteria at work makes it: they believe in boiling any veggies until they’re rubbery and cooking any meat or fish until it’s like tile. Scare-boiling is what I call it when you drop the veggies in and take them out just as the boiling breaks again, so you’re basically dropping them in the water just long enough to kill some surface bugs but not so much that the veggie will forget its former life. Is there an actual official name for it? ETA: what is an adult? I’m a grown-up in that I’m taller than The Nephews, but I don’t think I’m an adult. ---
