(I am getting bored with obvious thread titles, but I am not creative lately, so put up with them dammit) I think I am mentally derranged because I find [this](http://www.whatsbetter.com/display.pyt?item=3189) quite funny (the surreality of it), yet I can’t muster even a smile at some of the things people find funny here on the SDMB. What weird pictures or phrases do **you** find funny for reasons that you can’t explain, and that no-one else finds funny? ---

People with a strong aversion to something being forcefully exposed to it. Like having a clean-freak get hosed with human excrement…I think their reaction would be funny to me. ---

But I would still like to visit it. I’m certain it is more beautiful than the Aran Islands, which are very interesting. The time I called my sister’s then-fiancee (now very, very ex-fiancee; he was extremely creepy) a sphincter in the tradition of Wayne’s World. I’m extremely proud of it and it still makes me feel absurdly good, despite the fact that it was at about years ago and I was only in third grade. Ah, creepy, creepy guy from Darlington. For some reason, the Geico commercial with the duck makes me laugh hysterically every time I see it. Well it did when it was still on air. You know the one, where the duck puts its wing over it’s mouth and changes its bill for a smaller one and then says in that silly helium voice, “Smaller bills!” ---

That anti-pot commercial where the parents are in the bathroom with a home pregnacy test. Then it comes out positive; the mother then goes over to console the child, then the narator chimes in to say “Smking pot impairs your judgement” Also the “Med- Alert” commercial where it shows the old man keeling over as he says “HELP I’M HAVING A HEART ATTACK!” ---

I find anything outdated hilarious, if it’s out of place. For instance, a rotary telephone in a modern office. If anyone says “disco” I laugh for 10 minutes. ---

That commercial from a few months ago for “Crispy Thins” where the lady demonstrating a possible jingle says “Chacker”. It’s dry humor to be sure, but it both annoyed me and made me laugh. ---

Every single time- without fail- I make or order nachos, I ask who ever I’m with: “Who’s are these?” and then I reply “Not 'yo’s” and laugh. It never fails to make me laugh, despite the confused and/or fed up look on my companions face. ---

And who was on the front page of the NYC papers the day after the 2000 election? Was it Bush? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Was it Gore? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. It was HILLARY. The irony of this struck me so bad and I laughed so hard I had to sit on the floor at Shop Rite. Nobody else gets it. ---

My friend is always amused that there’s a country called “Turkey.” Hearing this, a Hebrew-speaking friend told us that in Hebrew, there’s also a country with the same name as that thanksgiving bird, but it’s India.
