The female euphemism “freshen up” has always irked me. They need to learn that the way to say it is: “I gotta piss” or "I gotta “shit”. ---

Ya wanna go camping?” “Duane, you asshole, quit bogarting that joint…” and so on. Duane persisted in trying to get people to call him Smokey for a semester or so, but I never heard anybody (even his girlfriend) call him that. Similar stories for the guy in martial arts class who wanted to be called “Cobra,” the guy from the gym who wanted to be called “Gorilla,” and a relative who wants everybody, for some reason, to call him Ray though his name isn’t Raymond. ---
