Try here. Or here. (I shop at the latter. That’s where I got my favorite panama, a Biltmore, made in…Canada?!!?! “Git a rope!”)
Do they still have Frosted Cheerios? Just like Alpha-Bits, only every letter is “o.”
I mourn the loss, some 15 years ago now, of Post Fortified Oat Flakes. Yum.
Slide rules.
I miss mine.
Whoa…sorry, BobLibDem…I see you beat me to the punch.
+MDI: I didn’t realize that. I haven’t seen dog shit that had turned white since I was a kid. Did they change something in dog food, or am I just not noticing dogshit anymore?
I wish I hadn’t read that- I can’t stop laughing.
I had a closed head injury on June 1995, maybe you have seen one of my posts, and I forgot everything I ever knew. For a few years, from age 32 to about 36, lots of things were familiar but EVERYTHING was new. When I stopped feeling sorry for myself and faced it, my life became an amazing adventure. I’ve been blessed.
White eggs. Not easy to find in supermarkets in the UK. Still seen in farm shops, but high street retailers just seem to think everybody wants brown eggs.
Nostalgia just isn’t what it used to be, eh danceswithcats?
I’m not sure that people in the professions you mention above have any more or less integrity than lawyers, businessmen, or politicians used to have. And common sense never was all that common, AFAIK.
Crappy typo.
See, now, that’s something I don’t see much of these days–a note or post by me that’s free of mistakes.
My second sentence should have read, “I’m not sure that people who are now in the professions you mention above have any more or less integrity than lawyers, businessmen, or politicians used to have.”
Feh.
Totally bucking this trend, a drive-in theater opened in my town a couple of years ago. They have two screens, and every show’s a double feature. The concession stand has real food that you can make a meal out of, like cheeseburgers and pizza. They even have a website!
I feel lucky. Merry-go-rounds, teeter-totters/see-saws, and even some dome shaped monkey bars including a real big one all exist at some of the older parks in mine and a neighboring town.
Something that I don’t see anymore is police officers carrying revolvers and fried pies under heat lamps at fast food type restraunts and convenience stores.
Carbon paper. Does it even exist anymore?
