Which very long post?
You forgot to link that which was forgotten
What I loved as a kid that I still love?
Motown
Whoopsie!!!
I lived in Bellevue, NE from '69-'74. I watched the Omaha version from '71-'74. Dr. San Guinary was the host. LOL
Thank you needscoffee!
I suggest you remove that hidden camera from my work area.
Hey, nice job!
PB& Mayo, same here. I know other people ate them, but I never knew anyone else admit to it. It would gross people out just mentioning it. Sometimes I put peanut butter on BLTs.
Whenever I hear the song I’m Henry the VIII, I Am by Herman’s Hermits I still get a chuckle and sing along. Few things make me do that anymore to the extent I do with that song.
Second verse, same as the first . . . Whenever I hear the song I’m Henry the VIII, I Am by Herman’s Hermits I still get a chuckle and sing along.
TIL that those favorites weren’t documentaries…
I love crisp, cold, overcast days even more as a middled-person than as a kid. No doubt because I’ve lived in South FLA for the last 25 years and never get to experience them anymore except on trips north on the holidays. That weather always meant the holiday season to me and it has lots of joy associated with it. Also, there’s a certain pleasure when you’re out in the cold but bundled up such that you’re all warm and toasty in your winter jacket, hat, and scarf.
Artificially flavored strawberry milk.
never mind
I thought of some other things: terraria and aquaria.
And writing. Never lost that either.
Comic books!
Peanut butter and bacon together are awesome.
As I said a year ago…
It happened again just this week. I biked to a comic book store for some “budget bin” '60s comics, rolled up a couple and jammed 'em in my back pocket. Then rode by the 7-11 for a Coke Slurpee on my way to a lakeshore park for some serious* reading.
*Serious? Well, if you can’t find a quality story, an outrageously stupid one will do. This is what I was reading today:
I still enjoy going on my reptile and amphibian hikes. When I find a small rain pond in a field with tadpoles and breeding frogs I still get the same joy as I did when I was a kid. I no longer catch them but I do enjoy finding them.
