Fortunately those same kegels come in handy in the expelling-on-demand part, so if it’s a sneezy sort of day I can plan ahead. I vividly remember that the question I asked in my first sex ed class - fifth grade - of our female teaching assistant was “Can you tell when you’re having your period, like you can tell you have to go pee?” She said yes. I was pretty peeved to learn later that you \*never \*get as much control over the red river as you do over pee, and that the equivalent of potty training is not taught. ---

Yeah sex is not usually as simple as the edited scenes in porn movies, but good real-life sex is _better_ than what is portrayed in porn movies. ---

I’ve never been able to “hold” menstrual flow once it starts, although it starts slowly, for me, for at least the first couple hours, so there’s usually no damage to underwear if I’m paying attention. My vaginal canal also stings just a bit when it’s starting – no idea why, but it’s been a pretty reliable indicator that I need to take care of things before I get stains. ---

Maybe 10%. More in especially skeevy restrooms. Little realized fact: many public toilets are designed such that they spray droplets on the seat with some (not all, or they’d get fixed) flushes. A lot of the spatters you think are pee are really just… very diluted pee. That still should have been wiped up by the previous user, but weren’t the result of some jerk actually peeing on the seat. ---

Ever since I had my daughter, my bladder control has gone down the crapper. Every time I sneeze or cough, I pee a little. Sucks majorly. ---

Up here we’re on septic systems and I (coming from the city with non-septicness) was sternly warned by my friend not to EVER flush tampons. I try my darnedest but sometimes you just have to pee and the pressure from that can cause a very full tampon to slip out before you know it. I have to confess that a few times I have declined to retrieve the tampon and have flushed it. I’m sorry, septic system. ---

Or flushed one–I’m quite good about that. But in your case, I can definitely sympathize with you not wanting to fish it out, as it were! ---

All this talk about periods really makes me wonder… is there a period fetish? Uncontrollable Hoover-level ejections of bodily fluids has _got_ to turn somebody, somewhere on. ---
