Scary to think that there are diseases like that and I can quite understand why it would be hard to look at, especially IRL. There are some I definitely wish I hadn’t looked up; advanced leprosy is one of those… One of the things I find really interesting are the things that others find disturbing. Most of the sexual ones don’t squick me out, but a some of the medical ones do. For others it may be completely the reverse or something else entirely. The human parasitic ones are really gross, generally. ---
