In my previous company, I worked with our lobby to halt a piece of legislation. Of course, we worked with an industry group, but when the federal government released comments on why they were halting the legislation, sections of the piece I wrote were quoted verbatim.
For what it’s worth, I know I wasn’t solely responsible for halting the legislation and that’s really common for the government to overturn a proposed rulemaking, but it was really cool knowing that pieces of my argument would be put into the federal register.
