I’m a guy and I don’t put my hand against the wall. What’s the purpose unless one is so drunk they should really be sitting down to begin with.

I am an older guy, but I only do ti at night, when I dont turn the light on. Mind you there is a nitelite and some ambient light, but I use my hand to make sure my aim is right. But I understand how & why he does it.

Her coin certainly shows a woman with a very strong and not attractive face. But period coins arent good guides to actual looks

_This so-called Berlin Cleopatra depicts her wearing a royal diadem_ she looks pretty good, actually.
So, we dont have many period depictions of her looks. However, she was obviously extremely charming due to her intelligence. Over all, based upon the bust and the wall painting, I would say a good looking woman but not a beauty.

We do have low level light in the bathroom at night, but I’ll often at least stick my elbow out against the wall to help with balance after crawling out of bed.

I don’t think I’ve ever put my hand on a wall while peeing. If I were so blinkered I couldn’t stand up straight, I’d just sit.

I am 75, with Parkinson’s to boot, so I wobble when I stand, even when I’m not trying to steady my aim into the toilet. However, in public restrooms, I’ve seen many other men putting hand to wall while draining the lizard.

In lieu of leaning my hand on the wall at home, I have overhead shelves with a cloth drawer at just the right height for me to lean my forehead against. This has the advantage of leaving both hands free.

71 year old here. If i have to pee in the middle of the night (correction: when I have to pee in the middle of the night), i will always sit down on the toilet. That way i don’t have to turn on a light, and, most importantly, I know I won’t miss.

Yeah, at night I sit down. That way I don’t need to aim, and if I don’t have to turn any lights on, it’s easier to get back to the bedroom with my night vision intact.
And during the day, I just stand and pee. The first mention of “hand on wall” stance sounded like they assume every male does it.

I do sometimes too.
Funny story - I had lunch with a friend recently. He had a small vertical cut on his forehead. I asked him what happened? He sat down on the toilet in the middle of the night, fell asleep and then fell of the toilet hitting his head on the door molding.

I am sure, just by fleshing the story out _a tiny bit_, he can spin it into “I got that damn cut, fighting off a zombie apocalypse”
