Since we’re telling the world how we suck [over here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=101702), I figured it’d be a good thing to balance it out with a “gee, I’m so great!” thread.

[li]I’m a very, very good cook. Come on by, I’ll cook you dinner and you’ll see for yourself.[/li][li]I’m a good driver (apart from that pesky parallell parking bit).[/li][li]I can whip up a 10 page essay on a Sunday afternoon. And it’ll pass. It not an A essay, but it’s good enough.[/li][li]I’m a very good public speaker. Entertaining, interesting and confident.[/li][li]I’m a good teacher too. Kids like me, I inspire and educate, and I’m able to connect with surly boy in the back too.[/li]liI give good head. Really good head.[/li][/ul]

I’ve been told I drink really well.
I’m not horrible at fantasy football.
There are worse people than me at driving.(doesnt EVERYBODY say that though)
I wash myself good enough most of the time.
I VERY RARELY forget or lose my car keys.
I give decent foot rubs.

\*Typing really fast. I was the “Circus Freak” of my Keyboarding and Applications class my freshman year of high school. Most of the people there, who typed at 20 WPM, gathered around me to see me type up to 80, sometimes 90.
\*Writing. Or, at least I think so. 😃
\*Making rubberband balls. Starting one is what’s difficult.

I type and crochet better than anyone I’ve ever met. People’s mouths fall open when they see me type.
I’m a very good cook, which always surprises people.
I don’t get on well with adults, but I’m great with children. Mostly cause I converse with them, which is something very few people do.
I’m learning languages by listening to CDS and reading the lyrics. I’ve already gotten to the point when I can pick up a German, Swedish or Dutch magazine and figure out what it’s saying. I translated the first Danish CD I ever had (Evita) without much trouble. My mouth fell open as I did it.

I am very good at existing on practically nothing while still enjoying myself, which is good because I seldom stay at any job longer than a year or two out of sheer boredom/frustration/just-not-wanting-to-work-anymore.
However, in spite of my poor job habits, all my bills are paid, I have no outstanding loans, and my credit rating is higher than everyone I know.
Bragging keeps me humble 😉

-Juggling. I can keep five balls going at once
-Hand Drumming. Djembe, doumbek, conga, bongo, etc. If it’s got a head, I can beat it very well!
-Arm wrestling. No one’s beaten me. Ever.
-Playing my position in football. Center, that is. And I can deliver a perfet snap to a kicker several yards away. Used to practice by snapping a ball through a tire 10 yards away.
-Making my son laugh. God, how I love that sound!
-Finding the lowest gas prices. I can almost SMELL a station a few miles away that’s a penny per gallon less expensive.

– I’m good at scrambling up the learning curve. In any group learning a new thing (particularly a strategy game) I will always be the best at it . . . for a while. I tend to plateau fairly quickly at the competent-but-not-brilliant level.
– I can make IDL sit up and beg for more. (IDL is the “Interactive Data Language.” Kinda FORTRANish.)
– I am excellent at whipping up an original and reasonably tasty meal in half an hour using only leftovers, pantry items, and dubious items from the back of the freezer.

Exceptional spelling skills–also good with the meaning & etymology of unusual words.
Baking
Interacting with animals and children.
Trivia–especially related to animals and literature.
I’ve been told I’m good at editing, as well as writing “straightforward” items (business letters, etc.)
Not sure how to define this, but I work in a job where I work with people who are affiliated with schools/other organizations–often, given a person’s name, I can also recall the organization they’re affiliated with, as well as any unusual issues they’ve had in the past.
Making really bad puns (it’s a family trait).
