Sleeping. (I can sleep anywhere in any position. I’ve fallen asleep upside-down on a school bus with my head on the wheel well and my feet over the back of the seat.)

I am good at:
Cooking (yes cooking! In spite of my comments about hell-o molds and other white trash culinary specialties in other threads I happen to be a very good cook.)
Ironing clothes. My partner thinks so too. Course he hates ironing so perhaps he’s scamming me?
Writing policy. I am the policy God at work.
Being the boss. My staff loves me, most of the time.

I can fix, install or replace anything in my house. I was born with a hammer in my hand. (Kinda explains why my mom has that limp.) I’m the guy Norm calls for help putting up a shelf.
I am incredibly good at cunnilin… cunilig… y’know, giving chicks head. When I’m through with her, my wife can’t remember her own name.
I’m getting quite good at falling down on my snowboard. And collecting bruises. You want a bruise? Come look at my ass.

I’m good at being BIG -in both _scary mofo you’d cross the street to avoid_ and _shy gentle-giant teddybear that little kids run to_ kinda ways.
I’ve got a bloody good sense of direction (foreign cities worked out in minutes).
I’m good at remembering telephone and licence plate numbers (but not at mathematics).
Pretty good driver (but a wee bit too aggressive sometimes).
I’m good at lifting heavy stuff (I’m immensely physically strong but not particularly fit).
I’m a good shot with a rifle.
I make a kick-arse homebrew.
I’m a good listener (trouble is my friends keep taking me up on this).

Opening doors for other people (I really like doing that).
Writing poetry.
I can read really fast and thoroughly. I’ve been doing it for awhile–I started reading when I was 3.
I pick up languages really well.
My philosophy prof says I have a knack for philosophy and I tend to agree.
Additionally, my friend Dawn and I think we are REALLY funny, even if no one else does. 😉 We parody people. It’s hilarious to us at least.

1. Working with kids with autism and other types of mental retardation. Especially if they have behavior problems.
2. Teaching other people to do the above.
3. Dating. Not the asking for a date part, but the showing up on time, being clean and well shaven, smell nice, open the car door, listen, ask questions and share information that lets us find out about each other, coming up with creative dates part.
4. Being with kids. I don’t have any of my own, which probably helps 😉 But I can hang with kids and relate to them.
5. Driving. Hey, I’m a guy. But I drive 30,000 miles a year in all weather, all roads, off road, etc. And I do it well.
6. Training dogs.
7. Reading. My normal rate is around 600 words per minute. I have great recall.
8. Writing for clarity. Maybe not on this board, but I write manuals, forms and reports that receive praise.
9. Sex.

Shirley’s Top Ten
1. Relating to kids from any age from newborn to teen/college. I’m great with old people too. God love 'em.
2. Writing. When I write something good, damn good that it makes my chest puff up with pride because \*I \*did that, it just blows my mind. Which explains why there is a whistling sound when I walk. 🙂
3. Totally Useless Trivia Information. or known by our secret name \*\*TUTI \*\*
4. Chaotic situations. Really. If your house is on fire, you want me there to get you out. You might be bodily thrown out the window, but would your rather be char burned or have a broken arm. Having a heart attack, I am the level headed one to call 911 while stomping on your chest. I don’t panic in crisis situations. Day to day stuff, you know - life - is overwhelming because, well, there is always tomorrow/next week/next month/next reincarnation to do it.
5. Stick shifts.
6. Planning and growing a veggie garden bigger than our house. (square feet in size, you retards, not biologically enhanced pumpkins.)
7. I am exceptional at not noticing things going on around me. Godzilla could be smashing all the city around me and all I notice is, “Ohhh, hot dog stand, I’m hungry.” This constantly amazes Mr. Ujest.
8. Saying the right thing to each a tense moment ( started or not by me) that makes eveyrone burst out laughing.
9. You know those word scrambles in newspapers and shown to kill time at the movies before previews, I get [sub]most of the time [/sub]them instantly.
10. Twisting cliches to take on a new meaning. “There is not time like the present.” is now, " There is no present like time." 🙂

Hmm.
Well, I seem to have a gift for figuring out other people’s difficult handwriting.
I am a master at creating trivia quizzes for my officemates to fit any theme.
I’m not bad at some word games and board games.
I believe I am a good writer.
Although I screw up some words myself, I am very good at spelling. A misspelled word screams at me from the page.
I am good at getting out stains in baby clothes.
Doing Jigsaw puzzles (the conventional type, not the weird ones with, say, no pictures on them, or that fit multiple ways)

I was only recently told that I’m really good “in bed”.
I’m a total salesperson. Thanks to the teachings of a good friend, I could easily sell a pair of pants to a guy with no legs.
My random doodles are works of art. (No really, I had a friend once say “I’m admiring your art” while looking at 3 hours of my mind displayed on paper.)
I’m a fantastic listener. With that, I’m smart enough to know when NOT to offer advice (like if I don’t know enough about something) and rarely make biased decisions (if a friend is having problems with a mutual friend).
I’m very giving and helpful. Of course, that isn’t necessarily a good thing. On some level, it’s great. There should be more generous people on the planet. But I’m also very reluctant to express my feelings, which leaves a whole lot of room to be walked on.
I’m naturally a people person. Something about me assures people that I am trustworthy and approachable, which brings me back to the “fantastic listener” thing. Lots of people talk to me.
Ummm… There’s probably more but as I write this, I think of more and more things to add to my post over in the “What are you really bad at?” thread.

Hmmm
-I’m really good at grammar. I tutored all my friends for the writing SAT 2 and people ask me to doublecheck their essays for mistakes.
-I’m good at descants, musically. You give me a tune and I can make up a kick ass descant.
-I’m not a computer expert, but I’m really good at figuring out what’s wrong and what would be a viable solution. I can do this out of my ass, mostly… my dad will ask me a question on windows or word, I’ll look at it, and my solution will lead him to believe that I know exactly what I’m talking about.
-Also, I’m great at talking my way out of situations. Last year, I postponed turning in a paper in history class with a hard ass professor for 2 weeks, without an illness- and I didn’t get any points off, either. It was genius.
