I can’t speak for Demo, obviously, but maybe this was just the breaking point after witnessing multiple threads of this type. Lobsang isn’t the first to play the “I’m leaving. Awww, you like me - alright I’ll stay” game, so maybe this had been brewing and when he saw this thread in MPSIMS it reached a head. Oh for Fuck’s sake. I think some people have spent too long in sensitivity training. Look, **lobsang** doesn’t _need_ defending. **Lobsang** posted a thread in mpsims that was a bit of a grab for attention. He was full of self doubt and wanted someone to stroke his ego. There’s nothing really wrong in that, but we play hardball around here and **demo** posted a parody thread at **lobsang’s** expense. To his immense credit, **Lobsang** seems to be taking it with pretty good humor. Because of this, he doesn’t _need_ defending. I never thought of this thread as especially mean spirited. What some people don’t seem to realize is that it’s possible to tell a joke at someone’s expense and yet still respect them. Ridicule without hatred. Among my friends, we call it “busting your balls”. Hell, most of the jokes are bad puns and aren’t directed at **lobsang** anyway. **Lobsang** , for what it’s worth, don’t leave. You seem to you have a sense of humor about this, and anybody that can laugh about his momentary feelings of weakness is a value to the board. There are far too many people that take things way too seriously around here as it is. Keep your chin up and remember that laughing at yourself is the best cure for whatever ails you. ---

I can see people’s getting riled up over serious political or personal issues. I still don’t understand the notion of having an area set aside to not just allow, but to encourage people to just be dicks to each other. First of all, I’d like to thank everyone who posted in this thread for sucking my dick. I don’t even know who the fuck **lobsang** is, so it wasn’t intended to be a personal attack on him, although I do think he’s an attention-whoring pussy. It was meant to proclaim my undying hatred and spite for whiny bitches who threaten to leave with no commitment to actually leaving, but instead with the intent of drumming up praise for themselves. That’s precisely what **lobsang** ’s thread was about and if you think differently, you’re naive. Either that or you’re an attention-whoring bitch as well and you’re in denial. Or else you’re just a stupid fucking tool. If you think _anything_ I post to this message board makes me feel one thousandth of a percent better about myself than I already do, you are sadly, sadly mistaken. What’s worse is, I’ve seen people leave without fanfare from boards like this one, and then return weeks later exhorting people for not “noticing.” Apparently we were supposed to discuss her absence and worry about her and so on.
