Its really pretty simple, when you ponder upon it: Fox makes their bias obvious, as a gesture to the intelligence of their audience. This alerts their audience to be attentive to that bias, and to adjust accordingly. The bias of the other news outlets is subtle and insidious, and can only be detected by certain sharp and incisive minds, minds attuned to nuance and subtext.
If the liberal media had the courage, they would admit their bias like Fox does. Fox respects its audience, and alerts them that they are getting slanted views, and need to pursue the question further, dig for the real facts at other outlets. Like Drudge Report.
Aw. c’mon, GIGO, that was a zinger! He really got you with that one! You argue like Disraeli or Demosthenes, he argues like Pee-Wee Herman, you haven’t much of a chance.
What? Can you point at me defending CBS for that? The trouble here is you are still deluded into thinking that that is a bigger problem than the current one of FOX lying to the American public.
They’re there to make sure no facts make it to air. It’s a grueling job, because no matter how stupid their TV personalities are, sometimes one regurgitates an actual according-to-Hoyle fact they heard somewhere.
As mentioned in another thread, 31% of Americans vote more or less randomly. My statistics are rusty, but I think we’d be doing better than we are if fewer than 65% were morons. :smack:
(Oh. You said “total morons.” Well, then maybe the figure is as low as 51% )
64 percent of all the world’s statistics are made up right there on the spot
82.4 percent of people believe 'em whether they’re accurate statistics or not
I don’t know what you believe but I do know there’s no doubt
I need another double shot of something 90 proof
I got too much to think about
Elucidator, you must be the dumbest sheep fucking son of a bitch to walk this screwed up little world. Fox respects nothing but the advertising dollars they get and their ratings share.
I think Rupert’s ambitions have been a little wider than that - it’s also been about expanding the sphere of influence for all his other media outlets.
