I now have the FooMobile (Google Smokey Stover for an explanation) AND the Shitbeater to replace the NerdMobile. A '91 Chevy Beretta (only 77K miles) and an '85 Ford F150 pickup that runs well, but looks like a portable trainwreck. The FooMobile is my commuter wheels, and the truck just does stuff around the homestead. In healthier days, that station wagon covered both functions. Now I need to get the NerdMobile fixed one last time and home to hold up a ‘For Sale’ sign. **Rigs** , with hair like that nobody will care about any butt issues. 😛 ---

Okay, home from work and fooded. Just restin’ up before Movie Night. I went into work at Archives today to get caught up on a couple of the Major Projects. Movie Night Host was there and we ended up spending an hour talking about Dune (among other things) and he ended up being late for his class. Then I go back out into the workroom and find [A Distant Shore](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1400041090/ref=wl_it_dp?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1LU4JVB8CMRXW&colid=17SNRTT20IZ34) lying next to the computer. I lent that book out a year ago, but the guy I lent it to had to go back home to Tennessee with health problems for a while and the book ended up in storage and long story short, I have it back. 🙂 There were three orientation sessions for the Freshman Comps Part II historical research project, and guess whose classes they were? Yep, Bookborrower’s. I chased him down in the foyer (the Archives section of the library is all fancified’n’stuff) to thank him for returning the book and we ended up talking for another hour about the book and getting thesisis done and family and all that. I mentioned I’m planning to move to Asheville when I’m done here and he said he would definitely come to visit me if I did. Then I went back to work and data entried until 5. I think I ended up flirting when I should have been working. I’m so socially inept I don’t even notice flirting three quarters of the time. Huh. Love the hair, **rigs**. I thought of you today–I mentioned that I thought _A Distant Shore_ was the novelization of the song “Eleanor Rigby”. ---

I also have hair issues–I flatironed the worst of the kinks out, but it’s not smooth and shiny nice new anymore. Poop. My memory’s a bit hazy - this kind of stuff is more Cloud Maiden and That Guy’s field, not mine - but I think the theory is that women tend to judge things on a relative scale, while men tend to judge things more on principle. So in the instance of the Heinz principle, a woman might say the man shouldn’t steal the medicine because his wife wouldn’t want to live at the cost of her husband being locked up for perhaps the rest of this life. But a man would say he shouldn’t steal the medicine because no one is above the law. It’s a rather broad generalization, but like most generalizations it’s true most of the time. 😉 It was funny because a few days after we had this conversation a bunch of us got engaged in a heated argument about the Phelps family and whether they should be stopped from protesting at funerals, and this generalization more or less held true. :: shrug :: ---
