I like my solution - as long as we don’t do anything noteworthy for the next 10 years, there’ll be no need to name this decade, or even refer to it. So, with that in mind, nobody fight any wars, record any music, publish _anything_, be born, die, or say anything worth mentioning, and we won’t have to quibble about this.

Well I’ve been actively using the term noughties. Heck - we’re in the age of slogans anyway: we might as well reflect our penchant for gimmicks in our decade reference. And the double entrende just adds a bit of spice.
And speaking of Spice let me add to the WE GOT list…

Groups of girls/boys who play no instruments just sing (and often not that well) preferring to rely on marketing machines rather than talent

I watched some video clip of some white group playing to about 4,000 people somewhere.

The only thing I can say about their music is that it wasn’t rap, semi-rap or soft rap.

It sucked. They were bare chested, shaven headed, did a lot of sticking out their tongues and contorting their rib thin bodies. They sucked. They were universally ugly. They were universally stupid. Their talent level was low. They looked like morons.

Gimme that old time rock and roll!
