Just because they hate minorities in the general sense doesn’t mean they won’t tolerate a few minorities- look at Rice and Powell. They also have a few batshit minority members- see Keyes and West. You have to look at the overall picture, and in general Republicans love to suppress minorities. I’m sure suppressing your vote would be a price they would be willing to pay in order to suppress thousands of others. ---
