Meh, this means nothing. It’s what legislatures do when they need to take a breather from the real issues; they name weeks, months, or days after random shit. I seriously doubt they spent a significant amount of time debating it. It’s not likes it’s anything new, either. We all know that February is Black History Month, but did you know it’s also American Heart Month, An Affair to Remember Month, Canned Food Month, Creative Romance Month, Great American Pie Month, National Cherry Month, National Children’s Dental Health Month, National Grapefruit Month, and National Weddings Month? ---

Yeah, I don’t see this measure, silly and meaningless though it is, as being a particularly big waste of either the state’s time or its money. But it’s entertaining to see so many people so outraged over the very idea that for a particular week in California they might be frowned upon for cussing in public. How did all you delicate flowers survive back in the day when it was considered inappropriate pretty much **all the time and everywhere** for people to cuss in public? Did you have to run to the restroom periodically to vent your accumulated swearwords in private, or what? ---
