This is an infuriating purchase quandary. What would you do?

Agreed. I would have said junk it and buy a new one, but Sarahfeena’s idea, as per yoozh, is better.

Yeah, I gotta agree with Sarahfeena.

(I had shopped third party… HB online had it for $9…but with shipping it was almost $20! Good grief…)

You could buy this nice mortar and pestle for only $7.49 and grind up the kibble in it.

Pretty much guaranteed to last forever unless you drop it.

Ditto **Sarahfeena’s **suggestion.

A hammer, firmly applied to a baggie of kibble, will yield a similar result. Also is quite therapeutic.

Otherwise, pitch the non-functional unit and buy a new one.

I had a espresso maker and someone broke the glass jug the coffee would go into, the price they had to pay to buy a new one was £40! No way it cost that much to make and was just the company profiting on clumsy users.

Razors and blades, my good man. Razors and blades.

Assuming they’re exactly the same models, buy a new one and use the new lid on the old body. When the old one stops working (which, grinding kibble, can’t be too far off), use the new one with the new lid.

ETA: In other words, exactly what Sarahfeena said.

No, buy the new one and use it: keep the old one on the offchance that a) when the new one craps out, it isnt he lid that breaks and b) you might find a cheap lid
