grits

I need a southern comment that implies that something is:

gooder’n

or

funner’n

The best (and just about only) phrase I’ve found on the internet is gooder’n grits. Any suggestion for this cliche poor yank?

My granddaddy used to say “better’n snuff and not near as dusty”. FTR he’d never say “gooder’n”.

I had a great uncle who’d say “Now _that’s_ cuttin’ a fat hog in the ass!” when something was real good or some good luck came his way.
