Oddly enough, our Pubbie brethren have not seen fit to trumpet this blistering revelation, as one might have expected. This recent trend towards bipartisan comity and a reluctance to rub the collective nose in the objective dog poo is commendable. Even though they could make enormous political advantage from such rock solid, irrefutable proof, they have restrained themselves in tactful silence. Once you guys stake a claim to an opinion you’ll use any method you can possibly think of to defend it, thinking you are advancing some crusade against ignorance, when really all you are doing is propagating ignorance because the fact of the matter is ‘YOU DON’T KNOW SHIT.’” 4. “I am castigating others for scoffing haughtily about their belief in something that for which they lack evidence. The same thing I have been castigating people in other threads for ironically.” 5. “I seem to recall that in addition to making a crack about that dumbass argument, I also said other things.” 6. “John McCain moving forward with a political decision based upon the best knowledge available is a far cry from you being a dickhead about it on a message board. He HAS to make decisions that affect people’s lives. You have the luxury of being able to sit here and speculate on the internet. It’s hardly the same fucking thing at all.” 7. “Anyway, I don’t give a fuck whether the WMDs exist or not, I am just tired of the hypocritical superiority on this board.” 8. “The enemy isn’t in Iraq it’s in Washington DC. **Zoe** , thank you for your reply. I can see now where you are coming from, although I must admit my “peace” barometer is probably set to a different level. 😉 Whether or not **mswas** is “melting down” elsewhere or is less than peaceful in his other posts is a moot point, and one which I’m not going to debate here. My point is that in _this_ particular thread there is little evidence of a non-peaceful person. But then again, maybe it’s because you see Erek as a pacifist, whereas I don’t. I see him as a peace activist, albeit an increasingly frustrated one, and thus I am probably willing to provide more latitude regarding invective in his views. I have found his contributions in this thread to be thoroughly thought provoking, and although a lot of what he said here resonates with me, I do not share all his views. His position is clearly not popular amongst the hawks, and so I have come to admire his tenacity when trying to discuss matters concerning American military and foreign policy.
