Why do Christians always look like Christians? Why do they all have that neat and tidy dress code that makes them stand out in the crowd like they aren’t supposed to be wherever they are? ---

The whole messiah-with-your-kid angle didn’t really register with me until **BellRungBookShut-CandleSnuffed** posted after me. (Although now that I think on it, isn’t that sort of portraying some weird fantasy that your kid is dead and gone to heaven? That\* is\* creepy.) I was well aware that there was a lot of hideous Photoshopping going on to create jarring oversaturated caricatures of people hanging out with Jesus. It’s \*aesthetically \*creepy to me. Others may have other interpretations. ---

I gots to go along with **Mangetout**. Those pics were really dumb, but they didn’t strike me as particularly creepy. Craft shows and flea markets offer mountains of that type of imagery of Christ. ---

Most Christians I know look like pretty average normal people. Then again, I don’t know many Mormons, who all look like either Mitt Romney or Harvard students. I think part of the creepy factor for me is that the people are ungrounded. What are they standing/sitting on? Air? And why don’t they cast shadows? ---

That is some TERRIBLE image-editing work. Absolutely terrible. I don’t call it “Photoshop” because it’s an insult to Adobe that their product is used so horribly. If that’s all it takes to sell crap to people, I am in the wrong business. ---

Well, I think there’s probably some sales leverage on the Christian angle, despite the crappy artwork - I mean, you love your kids, right? And you (the hypothetical Christian customer) love Jesus, right? _So why would you be ashamed to commision me to paint a picture of Jesus hovering with your kids?_ You’re sure you’re a proper Christian, are you? ---
