Located in Anchorage, Alaska, the [Kalgin Koch](http://www.adn.com/2009/07/19/869611/young-runner-collapses-during.html) Mini-Track is part of the Skinny Raven Sports store and is used by customers to test out shoes. Only 87 meters, it’s named after a Skinny Raven employee and local runner who died during a race. That’s kinda cool. 🙂 On the topic of weird-distance tracks, [Liberty Park](https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Liberty+Park,+Cerritos,+CA&hl=en&ll=33.854458,-118.100898&spn=0.002186,0.002299&sll=33.854789,-118.101429&sspn=0.006183,0.009195&oq=liberty+park&t=h&hq=Liberty+Park,+Cerritos,+CA&z=19) in Cerritos, California has a 3/16-mile track among its [facilities](http://www.cerritos.us/RESIDENTS/recreation/facilities/liberty_park_and_fitness_center.php). It’s a reasonably nice running surface, and it’s not comically small like the one in the OP is: a mile is 5 1/3 laps. I think it would be nice, though, if there were one-third-distance markings around the track. It’s not easy eyeballing thirds of a lap around an oval, if you’re really interested in your mile time. ---

It’s not uncommon for urban high schools to have odd sized tracks due to limited space, usually in the 325-375 yard/meter range. ETA:On that Liberty Park track, start at the south end extension run to the middle of the courts(?) at the north end then complete the 5 laps. ---

Twice I’ve run the Mount Marathon race that Kalgin’s picture mentions. It’s a root-pulling scramble to the top, then a bloody controlled tumble back down. He finished 19th? That’s freaking outstanding. Runners come in from all over to compete in that. The Skinny Mini tooks like a good way to get dizzy wizzy. ---

That’s a pretty small track. I’d probably get dizzy running it and would have to stop frequently for beer. ---

Just found this. Same track, different event. A full marathon. [502 laps.](http://www.ktva.com/news/local/Runners-Race-502-Laps-in-Mini-Track-Marathon-Fundraiser-126553588.html) And the article mentions it’s a 84 meter track. ---
