I first heard Dragostea Din Tei via that linked video and while the video was intended to be goofy/weird/funny, I found a lot of value in the song itself. It’s very catchy and the lyrics have meaning even after translation, which is more than a lot of American songs can claim. I would put it on my top 100 list. ---

No, I think the translation may have some flaws. As a fluent Romanian speaker\*, my interpretation is that it basically chronicles his times as a failed Parisian crack dealer/prostitute. \*Romanian skills non-existent. ---
