I worked. I made it home for the last 5 minutes of the hockey game. One of the things I dislike about working in retail is the contagion. Working on a nasty head cold. I was very tempted to call out today, but it really wouldn’t have been a good idea. OTOH, it was one of those days where if I’d known what it was going to be like, I’d have opted out. I’d have just said, “Nope, this day isn’t going to be worth participating in”. No deheathenating tomorrow. I don’t feel well enough to go, and don’t want to pass this along if I can avoid it (did have to irk today). I’m not thrilled about missing out on the nursery kiddos, but their parents will be happier if I don’t give them this particular gift. 🙂 ---

Watched the _Galavant_-athon last night and I’m looking forward to its return tonight. Wish it was on Netflix so I could see the entire first season, but oh well… Only big plan for today is to finish painting the smoker base. And I’ll run to Food Lion for lunch stuff. Anything else I have to do will be minor. It’s another cold morning - looked like 29° on the thermometer, near as I could tell. I really need to get a better one for the benefit of my aging eyes. Or I could just check a website, I suppose. Anyway, it’s COLD!!! And tomorrow is back to work and back on a more or less normal schedule. Theoretically. We shall see what a new year at work will bring. Happy Sunday! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 41 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 55 and sunny for the day. I have been productive even. i took the chikin pie outta da fridge and put on the bizkit (ok it’s Bisquick, don’t judge!) toppin’. I shall let it bake while I purtify. I would prefer to hibernate all Winter. Da bear does not like cold weather at all. I am a Summer baby. **MOOOOOOM** yep, tomorrow is back to irk. Of course, even though I’ve been off of irk since December 23rd 2015, I have frequently checked and answered emails and such. Tomorrow I get to start on quarterly reports. Rah! OK, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Purtification for a looooooooong day of deheatenization etc must also commence at some point. Happy Sunday! My days are off. Today feels like it should be Moonday. I’ve had to make changes to my plans. I was going to g grocery shopping tomorrow, but it’s supposed to be really cold, so we’ll go today instead. I wanted to take Sah-son to the college tomorrow to get his books but he can’t get them until Toosday. I have a Dr appointment in the armpit on Toosday, at 9 am, which means I have to be out of here at 7am at the latest and the temps are supposed to be in the teens BRRRRRRR! Sah-son was supposed to go with me but changed his mind when he heard how early I have to go. I’ll stop my mother’s and get our Christmas gifts that my niece brought over after Christmas. Then I’ll meet my friend - B - for lunch. She is the one friend I am not disgusted with. We very rarely argue about anything, and when we do, we cut it short and agree to disagree and drop it. I guess that will mean moving getting the books until Wednesday, and then Thorsday he has an orientation for his math class. School starts on Moonday the 11th, and there is another orientation that day. I have a few things really pissing me off right now but I am way too angry to talk about them. I hope you feel better soon **Nettie**. Now I’m off to order groceries. ---

Went back to sleep. It’s raining. There is a cold front coming through. It’s gonna drop into the high 60’s. The high tomorrow will be 70 :eek:. I am getting up and giving Lucky Louie his bath before the weather gets too cold. I am also gonna cook up a feast today. I don’t wanna go back to irk tomorrow but I must. Got a lot going on with the beginning of the month. ---

Groceries have been procured and I’ve decided we’re having chicken teriyaki for supper. First set of sheets is in the washer. A fire has been started downstairs and soon it will be warm enough to paint. OK, so it’s not freezing down there, but a bit of warmth is good. And I ran the vacuum in this room before setting **FCD** ’s chair mat in place. Taz is on \*The List \*- he decided to climb up that back of **FCD** ’s new desk chair - his naugahyde-n-leather chair. So there are kitteh claw holes in the back now. As if his kitty tower wasn’t 3 feet away from the chair… Life is so exciting here. ---

I did a morning shift of irk. Now I need to get ready to go get groceries. The store just called to ask about some substitutions. When I get back I’ll start some laundry. There’s a lot of running for the coming week and I need to get stuff done today so I’m not so stressed. Having to go out 4 days out of 7 is a lot for me. Kind of sad, but I used to average about 150 miles/day so I am happy to not have to go out most days. We are supposed to have snow tomorrow - such joy and happiness there! ---

Dang, **sari** , down here in the southern end of the state, we’re not looking at any precip till late Thurs, and more than a week till snow is even mentioned. Better thee than me! 😛 My sheets are all laundered and put away. My smoker stand is all painted. I can veg till it’s time to make supper and pack lunches. So yay. ---

I don’t know if we have any leather-type furniture in our house that doesn’t have little cat pinpricks in it. We wanted to adopt a new cat, but the one we wanted is in a foster family who decided to keep him. That’s all right. I’m glad the cat has a nice home, and one that he’s used to. I practiced my clarinets today. Still need to work on writing and arranging music. ---

I wish I’d thought of that!! I should embroider it on a throw pillow. 😃 I’ve got chickie teriyaki in the toaster oven, rice mixed with some teriyaki marinade in the steamer, and broccoli standing by to go in the steamer in a few minutes. Supper will be yummy and healthy. Wish I’d gotten some dessert while I was grocery shopping. Dammit.
