This post records the surrender of its author, who avoided viewing this thread as long as he could, knowing he would find it witty and amusing and knowing he could not resist forever, being somewhat addicted to word play and logic, both of which are combined in this thread, and although we seem to have drifted somewhat from our opening phrase, we are still talking about this post, sometimes in the plural third person, frequently referred to as the “royal we”, in deference to its alleged use by British monarchs, notably Queen Victoria, who was one of the earliest persons (women actually), certainly the most famous at the time, to use anesthesia during childbirth, legitimizing its use, which had been questioned since Eve was directed, in Genesis, to bring forth children in sorrow, although God had seemingly authorized anesthesia by causing a deep sleep to fall upon Adam before he removed the rib from which Eve was formed, which is fairly typical of Biblical controversies, with each side able to cite scriptures to support their positions, not unlike this message board or, for that matter, other forums for debate (although it’s not necessarily scriptures that are cited), such as talk radio, which is generally agreed to be much more conservative than most other media, but which, I’m sure, if someone asserted this as fact on this message board, someone else would find some reason to contradict that assertion, and then someone would contradict the contradiction, which sometimes leads to rancor but this is unusual in this forum (MPSIMS), where discussion is generally much more sedate, aiming for wit and humor rather than argument, which brings us back to this post, which has gone on rather long and, if you haven’t noticed, is only one sentence long. ---

And this post corrects the error in number in the previous post, adding an “s” to the initial word in the next-to-last line. The error was caused by a sticky “s” key on the poster’s keyboard, an annoying development since so many words in the English language (including most plurals) rely on this sibilant letter. Sigh. ---
