I’m pretty sure you were going to ask why people say “tuna fish” but nobody says “chicken bird” or “beef mammal”.

Even if it wasn’t what you were thinking – although I’m sure it was – you can start an interesting GQ thread about it if you want. Just make sure you tell everybody it was your idea.
