I’m searching for a job right now and found a lead that I think is a somewhat obvious scam but perhaps not. The company name is Inctor CCL. They have no online presence at all. There is an [inctor.com](http://inctor.com) but it is a totally different company based out of the UK. However, Inctor is apparently a common misspelling of injector so Google is not being my friend. I even tried Bing but it brings back similar results. There are a few big red flags in the job postings. First, they are too far apart for a company Google has never heard of. Apparently they’re hiring in Texas, NY and British Columbia. Second, they use a Hotmail address for the contact. Third, they are offering way, way too much money for the job specified. They are supposedly offering $5000 per month for a job as a “customer assistant”. There is no way this kind of entry level job pays 60K a year. There is a phone number attached to the ad but I dare not call it. Also it’s long distance. Googling the address provided brings me to 100 80th St, NY, NY which is a large apartment building. Unfortunately Google Maps neglected to swing into the lobby so I can’t tell if this address is legit. I’d like to get back to my employment counselor and let her know if this does indeed prove to be a scam before anyone else gets caught up in it. ---

I think they are both part of the same scam. [Inctor.com](http://Inctor.com) lists the same “Customer Assistant” bullshit job and the website is full of meaningless jibberish. Under “Best Propositions for You”, they list lending for which “Inctor Consulting’s loan aid leadership and evaluate different important parts of loan points with consideration to trouble gaining funds”. ---

I’ve applied to jobs like this before, but none so obvious. Usually they say they’re interested in hiring you or interviewing you. But first, they need a copy of your credit report, and direct you to a website that will do it for free and send a copy to them. It’s a front for identity theft most of the time. I’d imagine yours is pretty much the same. ---

So… I made a mistake in following through with these guys, not realizing it was a scam like an idiot. I’ve now reported them to the police but they have all my banking information and passport information. Here’s how the conversation went with the lady from Inctor today: me: thank you! me: I’ve done some research online me: I’m concerned about this company, I’ve heard it’s all a scam me: so I would like to see some legitimacy of this business her: This competition is doing everything to intimidate our employees. We have an impeccable reputation. In the market we are in 2012. me: I can understand that me: is the any way I can have a phone number to talk to someone in Canada? her: Now phones are busy. All this is due to an overload of the system. You need not worry. me: I didn’t say I would call now me: I would like a number though me: if I’m an employee I’m entitled to contact information of my employer her: TEL: +44 20 8133 2355INT’L: +1 646 736 7719 her: operators themselves will call you once you are in doubt of our company. her: [This job opportunity looks like a scam - In My Humble Opinion - Straight Dope Message Board](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=671531) her: funny because niether of those numbers work her: this link you find us? me: they don’t even exist me: yes her: our company falls many denunciations. our system is subjected to attacks by hackers. I have nothing to hide. me: Okay well what I don’t understand is if this company has an impeccable reputation why can’t I actually talk to someone in the company me: and also me: I had no interview and now my bank information and passport is out there me: somewhere I have no idea where me: and I can’t talk to anyone me: if I do not get a phone call and some sort of proof of legitimacy of this company from someone by today me: I will take legal action her: talk to you later. Now we are having a reboot. We are in the UK. me: I’m calling the police her: okay me: do you have any sort of records? me: Statistics ? me: anything? me: to show me this is real her: We are no longer interested in you. Look for another employer. me: well you still have my information how do I know it’s safe me: I’m sure it’s not then she signed out… what a joke ---
