Former “Fox Business” shirt Stossel [is suing FB](https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2021/09/ex-fox-host-claims-facebook-defamed-him-by-fact-checking-climate-change-videos/) for not letting him freely post lies and misinformation. They fact checked his content and flagged it, which he calls “defamation”. ---

Money. Despite the SDMB predelicition for accurate news, Faux News is the default over much/all of rural America. Fearful people who, despite FOX lawyer’s claims, can’t reliably distinguish fact from batshit opinion. Lots of bodies with cash to exploit out there. If AT&T can slice off even a small portion of that audience, OAN is cheap to operate (low cost cast-off DumpsterFire sycophants), there’s opportunity for profit. ---
